SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Cost Optimization

• Saved Techpack (now Amcor Flexibles Cali) approximately $200k in nine months through extensive implementation of procedures and teamwork with plant operators through routine daily labour. It was mainly focused in the lamination areas.
• Creation of Balance Score Card for all the plant, designing the most critical KPIs
• Improved by 30% on time delivery and 20% of scrap reduction in six months, through the creation of a data base to monitor and control of KPIs.

Solving Problems

• Customer service in packaging machines, solving problems and obtaining a reduction of 50% on rejected material in the first year. Focused in the relationship packaged product/packaging material/packaging machine.
• Applying continuous improvement to reduce material waste along all processes: printing, lamination, extrusion, slitting, helping to identify non – value added activities, eliminating recurrent defect. 
• Foster a culture to solution technical problems based in analytical failure analysis and using Taguchi methodology when necessary.
• Conduct root cause analysis, troubleshoot manufacturing, material flow, project plans and production capacity.

Production Management and Leadership

• Develop and conduct the certification FSSC22000 for the Techpack Cali Plant (now Amcor Cali- Colombia), through audits compliance and evaluations improvement. 
• Connect with people, develop talents and get goals, whatever it is, by mean of teamwork, getting people credibility, but with managerial courage, following through and execution.

Product Development

• Management of the innovation strategy for the Flexible Packaging area, involving the market and product development.
• Optimization of laminated structures, from 456 to 130 structures, regarding the relationship between product/packaging machinery and production process.
• Creation of a creative programmed methodology to interchange laminated structures or part of the structure with other applications or segments working together with plant and commercial people.
